Join us this week for another first, as Georgia takes us on a motorbike tour of Morocco to remember, where as usual things don’t go quite according to plan. Then we head off to Japan for a honeymoon of more than one lifetime…..It’s exhausting just listening to this episode!
On this episode we start in The Outback where Callum tells us one of the best stories we have heard so far, about how he learnt why it’s always important to check a vehicles history before buying. Then he explains how easy it is to “accidentally” get a job in a foreign country, especially when you are willing to inadvertently clean up crime scenes! Followed by a brief stop over in Singapore where Stamps learns all about the local toilet etiquette, before a trip on the ferry from Hull to Amsterdam for a festival to remember.
Somehow for the second time in a month we are visiting peep shows in Amsterdam, as Ola has her eyes well and truly opened! Seemingly not learning her lesson at all, she goes back again for her hen night….which does not end well! Then it’s off to Bali, for an encounter with either a very racist or very horny monkey! Before we finally educate Ola all about the joys of camping, ahead of her first ever experience in a tent! A wild ride with some amazing stories this week!
This week Matt tells us some of the delights you can experience when staying in budget hotels in exotic Manchester. We then jet off for a podcast first as we have a brief stopover in Bahrain, before landing at an army base in Estonia and finding out that tanks ARE NOT toys, then coming full circle back to the UK for a romantic story to remember at Leeds Festival!
This week Brennan tells how you to make sure you aren’t allowed to board the plane to go on holiday to New York, before eventually landing in the middle of the worst snow storm The Big Apple has ever seen. Then Stamps gets jealous and misses his former life again as yet another guest tells us how great Amsterdam is by giving Jo an eduction in Peep Show etiquette. Lots packed into this one!
Join us as we talk to the one and only Matt Green. A globe trotting episode with tales ranging from being surrounded by seasick family on a ferry, visiting ancient ruins in Mexico to coming face to face with Moose in Colorado!
We also discuss the merits of visiting exotic countries if you are told never to leave the resort you are staying in, trying to book the cheapest hotel possible whilst on the road and still maintaining some kind of standards, and what it’s like being on an aeroplane for the first time in your 20s.
Plus another of Jo’s near death travel experiences, it’s a wonder she’s still with us!
This week Justin tells us exactly how strange it is travelling in a post pandemic world as he gives us some great stories about working with Team GB during the Tokyo Olympics, including how an innocent trip to the loo could have destroyed the entire countries olympic dreams!
Before jetting us off for a road trip around America where the local wildlife is not as friendly as he wished it was!
This week we explore more uncharted territory for the podcast. Marlon tells us what it’s like when your Dad takes you on an educational trip to learn about your roots then swiftly abandons you, we go globe trotting from the hedonistic heights of the Caribbean to Alvaston as Marlon learns why you must always DOUBLE CHECK your bookings! Plus we finally and we get out first holiday (but hopefully not last) tattoo story!
Something a little different and dare we say “educational” this week, as we talk to the multi-talented Tez Ilyas about why going on a pilgrimage to Mecca is more dangerous than you could possibly imagine. After that we go full throttle into playing practical jokes on unsuspecting victims in hotels and even friends who just want a nice quiet holiday. All this before landing back in one of our most discussed locations to learn all about the time Tez decided he wanted to rule the fast food kingdom!
Plus, you WILL NOT BELIEVE where Tez is planning on going next.
Lot’s packed into this one, don’t miss it!
Join us for our first episode of Season Two, where we are joined by the very very funny Scott Bennett. We discuss the delights of long distance coach holidays to Spain. The convenience of your parents being avid members of “The Caravan Club”, and reminisce about some of the things that used to happen on holiday parks in the 80s that might just shock some of our younger listeners!
It’s good to be back!
